Engineering Geologist

Mr. Basanta Poudel is accomplished with a B.SC in Geology and M.SC in Engineering Geology. Mr. Poudel is currently serving as Engineering Geologist at Geotech Solutions International, he looks after geological work. Mr. Poudel is experienced Engineering Geologist with a strong background in geophysical and geological research. He has contributed to numerous projects involving hydropower, irrigation, landslides, bridges, roads and tunnels. His expertise includes geological and engineering geological mapping and subsurface investigation using non-destructive techniques such as Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR), Electrical Resistivity Tomography(ERT), Vertical Electrical Sounding(VES), and Seismic Resistivity Tomography(SRT).

Recently, Mr. Poudel has conducted investigations of subsurface geological and man-made Features around the Ring Road of Kathmandu Metropolitan City using Ground Penetrating Radar. Mr. Poudel is an active member of the Nepalese Society of Engineering Geologists(NSEG) and the Nepal Geological Society(NGS). Before his current role at Geotech Solutions International, he worked as an Engineering Geologist at Explorer Geophysical Consultant.
